I have suffered from anxiety for a few years now, but recently I have started having bad headaches and have piled on 4 stone in weight which I can't shift and now I hate myself, I can't look in the mirror without cringing.
I feel so alone as well.

Do what I do I cycle
Also I was told the more we give the sensations attention the more it comes after you i.e. We give it energy

Hi. Thanks
I haven't been on a bike in years.
It makes sense what you are saying about giving the sensation attention, I try and focus my mind away from it but it keeps creeping back in.

So sorry u feel that way,I too suffer from severe anxiety,I'm alone day in,day out and hate it.Weird because I've also felt so ugly lately, hate looking in the mirror and feel worthless.u sound alot like me.Ive been trying to convince myself of my worth,I guess we just have to believe it.I live with a man that also feels better about himself only putting down women so I can understand why I'd feel this way.but I'm getting up,and I'm leaving this place, leaving his ass because I'm better than that. tell yourself everyday sweetie u have great value and convince urself to believe it,because believe me...you are!! Good luck,I'm here if u need.god bless!!

Thanks that's reassuring
To know what we are talking about
Does anyone get this tendency to try and tell anyone you meet and then realise bad move ... they don't understand

Hi. I'm sorry you're in this situation because it's very tough, I know. Been there and still am there to quite a large degree. The past 2.5 months though, I've changed my diet and I go on long walks, focusing on keeping my mind steady- and just enjoying being outside. But people who live in the same building as me, are already noticing the weight loss. "Hey, you've lost weight!" And I say "Yeah, I know!" I think my anxiety is slowly improving too but we'll see in the longer term. Hey, hang in there, you're not alone. Just battle on, battle on, battle on. It's going to be okay emma84543.

Hi, Thank you for your post it is comforting to know I'm not alone and to hear that others are improving, I try to walk during my lunch hour but my job is so demanding that I dont always have time to.
I hope that eating healthier and try to get some exercise is gonna help cause right now I just feel like I'm stuck and can't see an end to it.

keep one positive or 2 or 3 things and rigidly stick with it even when the anxiety might say I wanna shut away et.Â

Also don't let anxiety make you think your nothing because that what it wants
always always never let it affect your self esteem
we are all worth something to someone but especially ourselves
