I have a cold burning sensation in my feet and arms that comes and goes could it be MS?

I am a 19 year old male. I have a cold sensation in both my feet and hands, this is accompanied by fatigue and heavy feeling hands making typing difficult. I also get relieved by a hit shower (which is wierd as the sensation competely goes and this is atypical of MS). This generally causes issues for about 2 weeks at a time and attacks often come 6 weeks apart. I have noticed that sometimes and attack will start after a heavy nights drinking (no I am not an alcholic and dont drink regularly)

Statistically, it won't be MS. It's rare for MS to start so early in life, too, and, as you said yourself, the fact that your symptoms are relieved by a hot shower also suggests that it isn't MS, all of which is good news. While MS can't, categorically, be ruled out, there are plenty of reasons to be positive. The sensations in your hands might be from a trapped nerve. Fatigue is a common issue for young adults, too. If you continue to experience weird symptoms, write them down, along with dates, concerns, questions and anything else you feel could be related.

I'm sorry that I'm not offering any great insight, or any definitive answers, but you've definitely come to the right place to find others in similar situations to you.

While I mostly agree with Wendy 808, she is incorrect about MS starting later in life. Most diagnoses are made between 24-34 and instances are getting diagnosed younger. In Canada we have a pediatric MS clinic in Toronto and there are people diagnosed as young as Two. 5% of MS patients are under 18. That being said, MS is a chronic disease and many people have it for years and remain undiagnosed. Keep records and take care of yourself Andrew. Keep talking with your Doctor.

As it's a UK site, I figured, statistically, he'd be over here, while I'm aware that MS is being diagnosed earlier now, here, it's typically later than in the teens and still is in his teens, which does make him a little younger than is a typical age for diagnosis. Adding this to his having fairly regular bouts of symptoms, which are relieved by hot showers, and are often exacerbated by larger than usual quantities of alcohol, it seems more likely to be from a different AND preferable source.
