Is it possible to get ghsv-1 from a partner that has ghsv-1? I had cold sores all my life even before i become sexually active. so basically i had cold sores since i was a child. the reason why i am asking this question is because in February i did something with a female friend who has ghsv-1 (she had it for 5 years now). we did not do anything besides dry humping with clothes and i fingered her (i washed my hands after that) and i rubbed my penis on her butt check for a few seconds. a week went by and i started to have weird symptoms like itching and tingling and i noticed a few small bumps at the lower base that has been there even to this day which hasn't changed nor gotten worse. I even went to the doctor and showed them my penis and told me the weird symptoms. they suggest me to take a urine STI test. the results came back negative. The small bumps have been there for 4 months now. I only had one sexual parter (always used protection) and i have not had sex in 5 years before this situation happened. honestly im so scared. please help me.

    herpes doesnt last that long, a couples weeks tops dont know what to suggesg without ohoto

      im not seeing herpes, more like iritation. i will say that if she gave you head and she has hsv 2 it is very likely for her to give you hsv1 which is genital herpes. if she had sores on her lip or even inside her mouth they can cause genital herpes. she may have hsv2 and she may not know it

      herpes out breaks can come and go btw. the outbreaks are usually 2-3 weeks. you should get blood work done for sti snd std ASAP.

      Okay. she doesn't have cold sores. She just have HSV-1 in the gential area 5 years ago. I also get cold sores but not often. Btw she didn't give me oral sex and we didn't have sex. Just dry humping with clothing.

      ok theres no way she could have given you herpes . you should be fine.
