I have a sore on my vagina, scared it looks like an ulcer

sore on my vagina, went to the er and he said it does not look like herpes and told me to go to my primary dr after the holiday. I am planning on going tomorroe but i just cannot think straight. It does not itch and its not very painful, just a little tender to the touch. It does not burn excruciatingly when I pee. It is one single bump and never popped nor has any pus in it.

i am not sure if anyone is following this thread, but Friday (2 days ago) once my negative results came back ,both igg and culture, i began using a my intravaginal bacterial vaginosis gel that i had leftover from when i had bc on my sore in the morning and a topical monistat at night (i am not sure if it was caused fungal or bacterial infection). My sore closed within two days, it is no longer raw and now is just discolored. I hope this helps someone. I requested some flagyl pills from my dr. Also i requested a syphilis test and that also cane back negative.

so i am sort of dealing with the same thing (only i am a guy). the fact that its an ulcer is definately alarming. i had three of them back in april.
if this is a new infection, your blood test for IGG will be negative because your body hasnt built up immunities yet. ive been getting tested constantly for the past three months. it can take 16 weeks for your body to build antibodies for it to show up on IGG.
the swab test saying "not isolated" means no virus was detected, however, it also depends on how late you got the swab and also how much virus may have been in the sore. ive read swab tests have alot of false negatives. not to worry you, but id recommend getting retested by blood later and not having sex. herpes can show up as just one lesion. they look different in every person and every person expierencs symptoms differently. mine didnt hurt at all, but im still highly suspicious i have it.... herpes is very tricky and unfortunately scientists havent developed a full proof test yet, i believe because the virus goes dormant after infection. antibodies are how they test but thats difficult since it can take so long to develop and testing varys on sensativity. hopefully you are in the CLEAR, but dont rule out herpes just yet. the picyure looks suspicious
