Did you hurt it? Sprain or lift something too heavy...

I've had back issues for about 50 yrs and work with it daily to manage my life.  I deal with osteoarthritis and aging....

Can you take over counter pain meds for a while, ice back and alternate with heat...  I would not panic, almost everyone deals with pain in back from one time or another and many long time..... sure sounds like your issue is very new...joy

Yes, don't sit for hours on end...get up and move and stretch every 40 minutes or so....be aware of your posture when you are sititing ... this is an occupational hazard for backs and eyes and hands and and and.... be aware....have a good chair for long sitting.    Stretch and exercise when at home etc.    Joy

Does read more like a bad posture problem, do browsewww for more info.

Short term relief use a local analgesic cream (diethylamine salicylate).

Start firming back muscles by plenty  of walking, push ups, sit ups. but gently, gently.

Most important sort out your sitting position regarding your PC.
