I have been sick since thanksgiving

Hi guys i have been down and sick since thanksgiving weekend. I constantly fealt likemy throat was swelling up and i coulsnt eat or breathe.. I was put on 3 different antibiotics and 3 different steroids and here i am misserable again. I can feel my ears crackling and my throat feels like its really swollen. I have missed 2weeks of work and lost my job today due to all of this. I went to a throat specialist on december 9th and they said it sounded like my muscles in my neck were infected because i couldnt move my neck so he put me on xanax for 7 days to relax the muscles. Well it has been 7 days and now they cant get me in to get a swollow study done until december 27th. What is going on?
