I have contracted oral and genital herpes at the same time. Help

I just found out as of yesterday that i have genital herpes. Or so thats what my doctor said. I am currently awaiting the lab results by the end of this week. But as ive researched the condition further , it couldnt be any more clear that i do have herpes. The pain the sores the body aches.....i am devistated angry ashamed and disgusted with myself. I never expected that this could happen to me....but it can happen to anyone especially in my case since i didnt use protection. Its my karma. But not as of the next day, im also starting to feel sores inside my mouth. Im devasted becuase i know i also gave this person oral. So now not only did i contract genital herpes, i have it in my mouth too.

If anyone else has had a similar experience please share. Feeling the sores inside my mouth was just the cherry on top after finding out i have genital herpes.

Also if any of you have tried any remedies or have any tips please share

    hello im sorry you have to go through this..i too was diagnosed on dec 2015 and i been with my husband two year i guess ive had only one and my first OB and wasnt that bad..i did cry almost everyday thinkn about it non stop but hey..its not the end..i know rn your in pain and confused..but you can manage it and move on as the days goes by it should hurt less and have less OB..has your doc gave u suppressive meds yet? try not to bring yourself down too much because on the long run you will be able to see it as a skin condition nothn more...it happens to the best of us

      Hi, im glad to see that you seem to be doing fine a month later after finding out! My doctor has given me medication to treat the sores. I really.do hope i will end up seeing this as just another skin condition! Its just very hard right now. Especially since just noticing i have sores appearing in mouth. Becuase no one can tell i have genital herpes unless i tell them. But if the sores appear on my lips i cant hide that and its just killing me the emberassment im going to feel.

    icompletely understand trust me...but try to take your meds as needed only when you have OB...and try putting a drop of tea tree oil and buy abreva trust me they will go away faster..from experience im telling you this..because my husband got a cold sore and i dabbed some tea tree and bought abreva the next day and waaala it went away in less then 2 days

      Ok thanks i will for sure try tree oil and abreva and see what works for me. I want to try and make sure i find what works for me so i dont have a lot of outbreaks!! Thanks for your help

    I know it's hard not to worry and stress over this, but wait for your lab results first (hope they swabbed). You can also have your oral lesions swabbed in the meantime, to know for sure that that's what it is. If it is herpes in both locations, then it sounds like Type 1, which is honestly way better than Type 2.

      I know i should wait for the lab results to confirm it. Until i get the lab results im going to confront the person about it. But yes they did swab, my oral lesions are just starting to surface , im starting to feel the irritation anyways. So if and when an oral lesion surfaces i will def. Is it even possible to get type 2 in the mouth? I ask again because i will say i kissed this person as well as performed oral so i dont know where this persons lesion could have been. But i guess in the end i do hope its just type 1

      You can get Type 2 orally, but it's quite uncommon, which is why I suspect you have Type 1, if it is herpes.

      Oh i see. Well i guess i really wont know for sure til my results come in at the end of the week. In my current situation i hope it is just type 1. Thanks.

    It gets better as the days go on .. I promise .

    I got diagnosed with this on December 15th a date I will never forget .

    I always thought type two was worse .., that's what I have

    But type 1 is where you have to deal with it being publically and stuff .. All over the face .

    How are you handling it ?

    How is the outbreak going ?

      I hope it does get better. I do feel better than yesterday though about the situation.

      Yeah well now it seems like i will have sores in my mouth because i can feel this sensation. Which is why i feel devistated because i cant hide it around my mouth.... i guess im trying not to think too much about it as im scared stressing over it will only make it worse.

      But as far as my outbreak down there goes its hurting a bit more than yesterday and my sores have gotten bigger...and im so worried of how much worse the pain will get.

      I don't even think you got to the bad part yet

      When I had my outbreak it peeled my skin .. so when I had to pee it was the most painful because it was hitting raw skin ,I also ended up getting a BV during this whole process I was going through pure agony , couldn't wipe or wash complletely down there my boyfriend had to do it for me.

      Hurts to wipe down there also . You go through a lot with an outbreak . Didn't people have different things I heard people scab over , bleeding . Everything it's a scary thought for especially since I don't know how it's going to be for the future .

      So you don't have no bumps or blisters lesions or anything on your vagina ?

      Omg! Your skin peeled??! I cant even imagine the pain.

      Actually since yesterday it stings to pee and i cant wipe either...i mean i try but it hurts so bad. I hate going pee! My body aches my head hurts and my butt hurts too.

      But yeah ive heard some people scab. And i didnt know you bled?? I do have them on my vagina, i have 4 i believe, My lesions were little dots yesterday today that i checked they are more visible and white and hurt way more. So im like starting the real painful stages i guess

      None of mine scabbed. Drink lots of water. It helps reduce the pain. So does pouring water down there while you pee. I used a handheld shower over the toilet.

      I hope mine wont scab.

      That makes sense i did notice when i drank large amounts of water and went pee it didnt hurt as much.

      No problem! It's the urine acidity that makes it burn. Keeping things diluted and washed away helps loads.
