I HAVE GENITAL HERPES AND REALLY DEPRESSED

Posted , 4 users are following.

I had unprotected sex with a complete stranger a couple of months back and weeks later I had serious itching on my genitals and it stopped for some time and then I noticed sores on the tip and base of my penis. I just got my result from the test I did and I have both oral and genital herpes. Although I have no sores in my mouth. My genital is not a good sight to behold. I am so ashamed of my self and feel so depressed because I let myself down. I should have used a condom. Now doctor says I need to have an HIV test too, I am so scared. Please guys advice me on what to do I am so scared. 😢

Hello, if you don't mind me asking... did they do a blood test & swab the sores? have you ever taken a blood test for herpes 1&2 testing before? how long after the unprotected sex encounter did you take a blood test for herpes?

I say go ahead and do a full panel std test if it's been 6 months.

Yes I did both test, they used a swab to clean the sore on my genitals and took some blood samples and I tested positive but I am scared because I was asked to take the full panel std test which includes HIV too. I have not had the courage to do that, but like you all have advised it is better I do it now so I know my status on time. Will go on tomorrow. It was About 3 to 4 weeks immediately I noticed the sores and herpes. I had oral sex too that really exposed me.

Completely understand your concerns. HIV transmission is low nowadays. I'm sure you're fine but it's always best to get everything done now so you can fully move forward with your life. ❤. wishing you the best and stay positive. 🙏

Thank Goodness my test came out negative for HIV and other STDs, been asked to repeat the test in a couple of weeks. I am continuing with my herpes treatment. The sores are still there and I am still concerned.

Glad to hear the other tests are negative- peace of mind! I'm sure your doctor can adjust your medication if one isn't working for you.
