I have health anxiety but I'm pretty sure this is something serious this time. I have enlarged tonsils and no pain whatsoever. Also all these lumps behind my tongue in the back of the throat. Antibiotics have not changed a thing. i cry myself to sleep every night thinking I have some sort of mouth cancer. Can anyone tell me if I should be worried and what I should do?

Hi Korilakkumax. I can relate to your problem in that I have had canker sores in my mouth often throughout my life. It used to be when I ate too many tomatoes or chewed juicy fruit gum. However I am now 76 and was diagnosed a few yrs ago with Polycythemia Vera. I take Hydroxyurea for this condition. It works to keep my blood in check, but I have learned I can't eat any kind of spice, not even cinnamon. I think it is the meds interacting with the spice. I got large blood blisters inside my mouth until I figured out what was causing it. I still get canker sores if I eat even a little spice or tomato. I usually have at least one sore in my mouth all the time. My suggestion for you, is to watch your foods and see if you have any food allergies. I may be wrong, but it's worth trying. Please keep letting us know if your condition improves. harrishill
