I'm a newcomer with hairs on my palms 😁

Hi my name is Julia, only a joke about the hairy palms, however this four year journey so far makes me look now and then. Four years ago I had a hysterectomy due to large fibroids, with only one ovary remaining, the first year was amazing, no periods, felt the best I had in years, then the symptoms started, mainly dizziness to start with, went to see GP, I thought I bet the Menopause is starting, it's so easy when you have had a hysterectomy to blame any symptom on it, anyway the blood test said I wasn't peri menapause, but my red blood cells were at a high level, two years of testing my blood as they thought I had a condition called Polycythemia, my symptoms became worse, I had days I couldn't function for dizziness and painful hands and feet, exercise was the hardest, I was so fatigued, just getting out of bed was an effort and now I get really bad travel sickness and the anxiety is terrible! All this time it's Polycythemia Vera only because my blood didn't show peri menopause and the symptoms fitted Polycythemia Vera as I wasn't classical hot flushing etc....decided to get a second opinion on my blood last week, he told me on no certain terms I had polycythemia, he gave me a blood test and hay ho I'm peri menopausal!!! Not just that for four years I've not been able to have HRT due to them thinking I've got Polycythemia Vera because Polycythemia makes you have thick blood, HRT there's a risk of blood clots so I was left to suffer with symptoms and I was getting more and more depressed, I am now going to get on HRT, making an appointment today, now does anyone else have a journey like mine, do u have fatigue, painful joints, fatigue, high red blood count erthrocytosis and dizziness? After a hysterectomy and how have you got on with HRT?

I've got the dizziness and fatigue part. Haven't figured out if mine is directly linked to

Peri or not. Might be a secondary link ( silent migraines with hormone tigger?). Been like this for over three months now....I am on progesterone.

Ask them to check your bloods Jen, you might have what I have erthrocytosis due to hormone fluctuations and I know for a fact that projesterine does rise red blood cells, let me know how you get on? It's the high red bloods that's making me dizzy, I've high bloods because of low oestrogen and high projesterone, because of menopause I've even got a few whiskers on the chin (embarrassing!) why are you on projesterone? Do you have fibroids?

I've had my blood work done and all numbers were fine including red blood count. Low on B12 and iron though. My estrogen is fine but my progesterone is low so I am on a bio identical progesterone ( low dose).

    Hi Julia,

Total hysterectomy, both ovaries taken and uterus 1 1/2 years ago.

Dizziness every day. Nauseasness every 3rd or 4th day. Excruciating joint pain. Forgetfullness. High bp. Horrible anxiety

I went to my gyno a month ago and she says "I dont think this is menopause related"...

I know better. Have a physical scheduled at tge end of May. Someone needs to help me...

I am not sure that my dizziness is directly related to peri meno or not. I think my fluctuating hormones has triggered something else. My sense is maybe silent migraines. But I could be wrong. I also get some motion sickness when lots of movement around me and have pressure in my head which leads me to possibly vestibular migraines ( silent) but I could be wrong.....
