cheesygrin  Wow I am on the other side of this and feeling really really good!!!! The staff here at my hospital couldn't be any better. So kind and accommodating and knowledgable. Surgery went smoothly and I don't recall a thing. I went out quickly.

The pain is not bad at all!!! Seriously I wouldn't lie!!!  I am a new proud member of of the hippie club now!

I cant tell you guys enough how amazing you all have been. You all were so very helpful it's hard to put into words. Everyone seemed to say all of the right things - just what I needed to hear!!!  THANK YOU THANK YOU!!

Hugs and love and fairy dust to all of you.

You will you will do amazing!!!!  My fear and anxiety b4 surgery was almost paralyzing!  But I promise you on the other side it's not too bad!!! Focus on getting to the other side. Keep your thoughts on how much better you will feel once it's over and I mean when you wake up!!!

Im not perfect feeling of course but it is healing pain - so very much more tolerable than the daily pain you face now. I am told by everyone else each day for the most gets better and better. So bring it on!!!

      you will do great!!!

Hi roxy- sounds like we're at the same stage - had my op yesterday. It's ok isn't it - after all that panic and worrying?! The staff here are fantastic too - that makes such a difference. More pay for nurses? - bring it on!! Didn't think I'd feel like eating but looking forward to breakfast!

    Have a good day! X

Oh yeah Abby!!! So,happy to,hear you are doing so,great too!!  I was thinking of you!!!

yes!  Nursing staff has been so,excellent!!  Wondering what I can send them when I leave. Some better than others of course - but all have been great.

its 5am here and was just woke up,for vitals and trip to the restroom. I ate some dinner but didn't keep,it down sad. Weird bc I am not constantly nauseous just came on suddenly. Think I drank too much ginger ale so sipping water since then.  Must be working bc had IV removed just now.  Blood, draw coming soon - ick but bring it on at the same time bc I want to,know how my blood is looking. Also refill on pain pill so,may need to stop typing soon b4 I start making crazy talk.

Rest well my friend!!! Look forward to,hearing your progress as well !

I too had been thinking of what to get the nurses and other staff when I leave - they've all been really great.

Sorry you were sick - hope you're feeling better now.

I've just had some Physio ( in bed) and she said I'm doing well. Not been out of bed yet.

You too!  I'm going to,ask my sister - she first mentioned maybe some good, chocolates. But all of us always seem to be dieting and we don't need more junk food tossed at us. Of course these ladies are very petite so,far so maybe some decent chocolates would,be nice.

I had pt immediately after surgery - doing lots of in bed exercises but then she wanted to get me up. I sat up,w legs dangling but was too loopy and dizzy to,stand at that time. Did so later in the day.

      Take care gal. Ttys

    Hi Roxy,

really pleased to hear you're doing so well. Hope you have a good pain free day.

I have my op on Monday and I hope to be feeling as good as you on the other side. Slightly nervous about the spinal, I don't want to see or hear anything.

I was terrified about what I might hear but the sedation was such that I heard nothing I didn't want to hear and saw nothing as well.  It really was not frightening when it actually happened.

TJ - I was scared of everything and I mean everything!!  That spinal really freaked me out. You know what I didn't feel a thing but a little tiny prick (less than many blood draws I have had). And then I was out!!!!  That is the last thing I remember!  I'm not sure I recall laying back down from it even!!!!!  Lol.

Breathe - that's not tough at all at least from my experience here. Very easy and the staff!!!! Was so,sweet!  The inpatient processing nurse held,me!!!!!

You will get through this week no problems.

You got this TJ!!!  I was scared to death of that too. I promise that somehow was easy!!! I felt less of a prick than I usually do for a blood draw. Weird. You got this. Will be thinking about you. Please keep,us posted.
