I have only been on my tablets for 8 days and I have to go out on my friends birthday. We are going to an Itallian restaraunt and I am panicing. Can anyone advise on what to eat? or what to avoid.

Thank you.

    Hi lah lah

i'm really struggling with this as well! i took my niece to pizza hut at the weekend and it took me ages to find anything i thought id be ok with, in the end i had a tomato sauce pasta and chicken and was fine

stay away from bruschetta as its drizzles in olive oil, garlic bread and any cream based sauces, as well as pizza. italians normally do a very nice choice of pasta which you should be fine with.

failing that i have been told if you withdraw tablets 48 hours beforehand you can eat normally (is that wrong to say!) and then resume a day afterwards but dont be too naughty!!!

    have fun,

I have been to Italians twice recently and both times carried on with tablets. First occasion I had a pizza and garlic bread with no side effects and this time I had meatballs which are a mix of beef and pork served on a bed of spaghetti, no side effects again.

And just because I was being naughty I had dessert which had probably the most fattening things on earth in it. The evening of those days I avoided anything big hand had somehing like a slimfast or a wrap with salad in it.

Give it a try and don't be afraid. You can still enjoy yourself :D
