I'm raging! Has anyone done a home hormone saliva test in U.K.?

PERI CAN P*** OFF.
Enough of endless supplements/reading books, forums and medical articles/"guessing" which lovely da*n hormone imbalance my partner's ever changing symptoms may be caused by. I am getting her a hormone test kit, and I want the best one. Not even going to try the GP again - no point (I love our NHS but truly believe our GPS are seriously lacking in knowledge about peri). We don't want to try HRT yet. She's 47 and 5 years into this so called "joyful and flourishing time" in a woman's life (I have never heard such total tosh, seriously). Can anybody recommend a decent home test kit, for estrogen/Progesterone, and possibly also cortisol, DHEA etc please? Estrogen and progesterone are the main big players, obviously. I've looked online etc etc but very few reviews, and know one you if you lovely lot must have tried a home test kit. I trust this forum more than I trust medical articles!
I am seriously considering writing a book - this peri rubbish is life altering. People really need educating. I can't stand it for her anymore - or for any of you ladies, plus possibly myself in a couple years.......!
Sorry for the rant 😀

Hey it’s ok! Rant away that’s always best to get it off your chest.
I agree our NHS is amazing but seriously underfunded. GPS mean well but they are allocated on 10mins per patient where I live and you can only discuss one issue per appointment! I could book all day and still keep questioning my symptoms!!
Anyway in Bristol I’ve been told of the Well Wonan Clinic at Aztec West. It’s private practise but they specialise in women’s issues including menopause. You have a free 30 min telephone chat with a specialist/nurse to asses your major concerns then an appointment is £250. They then take blood tests and you go from there.
I’m going shortly once I get paid as I have trouble with vaginal atrophy which is hell and the pesseries and tabs prescribed by Doc just don’t work.
I know it’s a lot of money but speaking to specialists may be the best and less frustrating way to alleviate these symptoms.
I wish you all the best and your partner is very blessed to have such a caring partner. Hope you can find help ASAP. Lou xxx

Oh lou, I am with you.... It's an awful time and yes GPS are not good as they are clueless.. There is hormones sticks you can buy but its something we have to ride... Last night I was so anxious in my head about all of this as never ending... Please don't despair as not alone with this.. CK

I haven’t posted anything for ages as I have just given up with all the medics . Private as well as N.H.S
I have had 15 types of Hrt and some have worked for hot flushes but none of them worked for my loss of libido which was disastrous for my relationship .
The menopause is almost more of an unspoken thing than the pain of childbirth .
It’s dreadful that there is so little done and that women still have to carryon regardless despite being in effect a completely different person
So please carry on with your research to save your woman and yourself as no one else will be taking it seriously . You sound like a nice man . I wish you all the best
