This is my 18th week on Prozac. The last 2 on 30 mg after dropping down from 40mg.

I ve had a bad throat infection, so that hasn’t helped but I am so very tired Does this ever go away?

My immune system feels as though it’s drained !! How do I recover?

This is so not me!!!!!

    Hi GrayLady,

Dropping down on your meds might do the trick.  Give it a few weeks to take affect though (3-4wks maybe).  Also are you taking other meds that might be making you tired?  If your up to it, maybe some light outdoor walks might give you some energy.  Also, how are your sleep habits?  Are you getting consistent sleep?   Finally do an assessment of your diet/intake.  Anyway, I wish you well and hope this gives you some things to consider.  Blessings.

      Thanks for your reply.

I’m sure that dropping from 40-30mg had something to do with the fatigue. I’m still not there but today was a good day. I went out to visit a friend. Plus, the doctor put me on an antibiotic, for a sinus infection.

      It’s a vicious cycle!!!

The only other med I take is gabapentin, 100mg 3x a day.

      One day at a time!

I am on 15mg prozac week 12, I am starting to get lower stiff back pain, on top of the wear and tear I already have in it, plus hot all the time, dreams are getting worse also, are you having any of the side effects at all, I am thinking of going on duloxatine with prozac, for my fibromyalgia, but some doctors will not give both together,
