I’m spotting all the time what should I do

Hey!

I am 21 years old. My period was always normal but recently i have been spotting in between my periods to the point time I am always on my period. Majority of the time the blood is dark brown almost black. Sometimes i have black threads coming from my vagina. This is never painful.

My gp requested an ultrasound scan (transvaginal and abdomen). My results came back normal and my uterus was very healthy. I have a small cyst on my left ovary which apparently is not a issue as it is very common in women.

My blood test just showed I have low vitamin D and i take supplements. My GP said theres nothing they can do. Is there something wrong with me? This is impacting my sexual life. Should i investigate my health further? Am i overthinking?

Many thanks

of u are bleeding between periods they should do one as needs investigating mpst the time black /brown blood is old blood left over from a period but it should not be constant it can also signify cervical abnormalities etc

    hi maryam,

i am afraid i don't know what to say since i have had the same problem too, and it still goes on.

i had a C&D for reassurance of cleaning up my uterus and pathological tests were done, all came back clear. someone suggested hormonal tests" i haven't done it yet " due to this lock down problem!

i hope this helped in any way
