They say that's signs of it yes... I don't get it, or if I do I don't notice it ... so not sure I'm a good help but if it's constant then you might have some kinda yeast infection or something ... I'd see a doctor

I've seen 3 doctors in the last two weeks there are actually useless! I've been giving all sorts of tablets and creams but nothing seems so be getting rid. It's just a nightmare and I really don't no what to do anymore

I'm sorry I can't help. Must be herpes related if the creams etc don't work. Are you on medication for the herpes?

Or you just took your 10 days? And stopped

I was given the Aciclovir 400mg to take 3 times a day for 5 days which I did and the blisters settled and now seem to be healed! But now I have this problem

You need to attend a Virologist in your local STD clinic for a proper assessment.

Most likely your recent outbreak is still active although your blisters have healed.  Have you also considered that you could possibly have a secondary STD infection which is not related to the Herpes Simples Virus such as Human Papilloma or some other infection.

It is important that you attend an STD clinic to address this issue.

Hello. Yes I was extremly itchy after my first out break it was so uncomfortable the relief from itching was lovely but at the same time would hurt and start itching straight after, I found getting in the shower and spraying thst om my down below helped a little, I got given some cream buy every cream I had irritatated it even more i thought i was hAving another outbreak straight after the first . I also had a bad reaction to the hydra cain numbing gel which took longer to heal. After the itching went it was still a little uncomfortable to touch but now has just started feeling better and the symptoms first started 10 weeks ago but like I said its taken longer for ms because I had a reaction to the gel. So yes they always say after you've cut yourself or got a tattoo it's really itchy because it's healing. It will pass promise xx

Hi. Thank you for replying. I honestly feel like I'm imagining all this up some times as I wonder how I can be so unwell for so long. I was also given the jel which personally I don't think is helping me all at. It's been over two weeks now so I'm praying once the itching stops that will be it for a while at least xx

It is very likely related. I was also somewhat itchy, which I'm not normally. Occasional rinses (water only) over the toilet, followed by *diluted* tea tree oil (applied using a cotton pad), helped me. The former keeps you clean, while the latter is a natural antiseptic that makes you feel nice and cool down below and helps to relieve itching. After a while, the itching largely stopped by itself.

Thank you for the advice I'll give it a go. I'll literally try anything right now

Just make sure you dilute the tea tree oil, otherwise it can be too strong for all-over application. Mine is in a small bottle without a pipette, and I found that holding the bottle upside-down with a cotton pad over the opening once or twice was sufficient, then quickly soaking the cotton pad under running water. Good luck!

I am so glad that you asked this. I too am very itchy down there. From the other posts and what I found on the internet they say the itching is part of the healing process. But also I have read that the itch is usually at the beginning of a breakout. I have been worried that I was getting another outbreak right after the first one that I'm not completely healed from. It's been almost two weeks I was given valtrex tablets that I have to take twice a day for 10 days and have one more day on the medicine. I was given lidocaine as my gel to put on there. It helped with the soreness but don't really notice it helping with the itch. I have only slept a total of 5 hours the last two nights and have tried not to itch it because it just makes it even more sore and the relief from itching is only relief while I itch. I also feel like sometimes there is something crawling on me which is probably more a tingling feeling that I have seen described but I am so itchy. I feel your pain. Does anyone know if you can use soap to wash down there or do you have to just use water. That's what I've used for almost the two weeks but I feel gross and dirty and would love to beable to actually wash down there. Any help would be appreciated. I hope I have helped you alittle. I hear it goes away but it is really hard right now to deal with. I'm not itchy only on the private area but feel itchy on the butt as well. Also with itching they say not to because you could spread it to other areas so very scared of that happening.

I think a mild soap is fine, so long as it doesn't sting. I used soap in the shower, but only water over the toilet, since it felt good to rinse off the burning pee and discharge a few times a day and I didn't want to overdo the soap. Just the tea tree oil, which is antiseptic anyway.

      Hi,

I'm just curious if the itching stopped on its own and how long it took? I finaihed my valtrex this past Thursday and this Saturday the itching started same problem and I've literally tried everything and can't sleep at night. Thanks.
