so last week i had a bump on my vag, it popped and it went away, my doctor did not swab it but she ran a blood test and said i was positive for hsv2 , ive never had an outbreak or symptoms, my boyfriend doesnt have any symptoms or outbreaks either, ive researched many times if the tests can produce false positive results and it says that they can, what do yall think though? do you think i have it or no? i really need answers, i have another blood test scheduled for wednesday but im really anxious.

Some individuals will experience an outbreak and won’t even notice it. Others are asymptotic and don’t get no symptoms. It could’ve or been your first outbreak when you had a bump but you didn’t really pay attention to it. If you tested positive you do carry the virus. Meaning I would have your boyfriend tested as well just Incase. And lookout for breakouts. Keep in mind you can transmit the virus even if you don’t have breakouts.

thats the thing, the bump i had down there was from folluiculitus or how ever you spell that, i get them in the areas that i sweat, i get them under my armpits all the time. i also spoke with an online doctor and he told me he also thinks that i may have gotten a false positive test since they are very common, my doctor didnt swab the actual bump, i also pay very close attention to my downstairs so i wouldve noticed a larger breakout.
