i need information about my rights being on conservatorship.

I am on an LPS conservatorship in the state of california. i live in a care home which houses mentally ill patients. i am transitioning into independent living and am also well on my way to getting off of conservatorship.
i have a girlfriend, who is on conservatorship as well, and lives at the same home. we are told by our conservator and our local mental health facility workers who manages our cases that we are allowed to "date" but are not allowed to kiss/hold hands/cuddle, let alone have a sexual relationship. this is a very very difficult rule to go by as you could imagine. we have been threatened to be separated by our conservator by means of her being sent to a lockdown facility if we were to break the rules.
we both want to move out of here into our own apartment, but i was told by my mental health case manager that would never happen cause the state looks down on male/female conservatee's living together.
if anyone can provide me with their knowledge or information (like a link to a site with reliable sources) regarding whether a male and female both on lps conservatorship in the state of california are allowed or have the right to have an intimate/sexual relationship or live together and under what circumstances they would be able to or not be able to please let me know. feel free to ask me questions if you need clarification on anything. i plan on checking this post regularly.

Hi I have absolutely no idea what restrictions are put on mental health services in US and as this is a UK based website I'm not even sure if you will get any one with this knowledge replying.
Is their not a Web site nearer to home you can ask the same question on

It's not a problem posting and maybe someone from US will come and offer advice regarding your query but so you didn't think we were ignoring you I replied
Possibly you could sit down and ask the question why it's not encouraged, is it because you both have issues that could clash and make it difficult for you to be independent of exterior help
