I started on 10mg Flouxetine for a major depression episode and then 2 weeks later increased to 20mg

So I've been on the Flouxetine 28 days total (2wks of that at the 20 mg). I do have some good days and my side effects are gone but I still feel depressed a lot. Is this normal? Should I be feeling mostly all better by now?

Can I ask what your side effects have been? I'm really struggling with mine and I need to know they will go away.

Prozac is a slow burner, can take along time (2 to 4 mnths ) to feel full benefits because half life is long so takes longer to reach steady state.

Benefits of a long Half-Life however are less rough side effects and easier to withdrawal when/if you come off.

Benefits are felt gradually, subtly more energy usually first (so poss insomnia & incr anxiety to start & on dose increases). Give it another 2\3 weeks, (8 weeks total) if you feel subtle improvement then keep going, if nothing then review dose with your GP or a switch if side effects are troublesome.
