Hi I'm 16 and I have a feeling I have herpes. I had sex with my boyfriend (oral too) and to be honnest I'm not 100% confident with his "cleenliness" anyways about 1 week after we last had sex I felt a pain in my genitals so I had a look down there and I had what apeared to be a small cut on the inside of my labia minora, after another few days the discomfort of it was getting stronger so I took another look and i seemed to have another on on the exact same place but on the other side and also one or two small bumps, I was quite worried but I just though i would see if they would go away, after another few days the pain was getting worse and it seemed to hurt all over my "lady parts" so when I took another look there seemed too be more of these bumps but they looked more like open sores and wer very painful to touch it also was very painful to urinate by this point, over the next few days it got so painful to urinate and I got to the point where I couldn't walk, sit up or lie down without wanting to cry because the pain was that intense, anyways I researched what it could be and genital herpes was popping up everywhere but the only thing is I don't have these sores anywhere els apart from my labia majora and thoes two cuts inside the labia manora I haven't really been feeling ill it's just extremely painful, Also I thought if I caught herpes on my genital area I would have caught it on my mouth too as I used my mouth during my last time having sex and was exposed to the same things. I was just wondering is anyone can give me some help or indication as to what this could be. Thank you very much

Hi! Just replying because I know getting no response on here is killing you, so I want to try and help!

Are you considering being tested? If so, you need to a swab test. I did a test called PCR in my urethra. It will apparently tell me if I have HSV 1 or 2. If you still have blisters, sores, ulcers, or abrasions, I suggest you head to a clinic or doctor and ask to have that test ASAP.

Hi........it does sound like the symptoms of herpes.......especially if the blisters are open wounds> you need to get to your Doctor and get tested right away.  You need to know what you are up against.   You will need medication...if it is positive.

Even though you have oral, he might have only hsv-2 which is genital herpes and not hsv-1 which is around the mouth. You just might not be suffering from EVERY symptom of herpes. But the painful sores/cuts, problems urinating, and walking situation sounds a lot like what I've experienced in the last week. Definitely go seek medical attention. The sooner you find out the sooner they can fix it. I've been on valtrex for 3 days now and have been using orajel (numbing medication for mouth sores, dentures ect.) I feel 80% better and can walk and urinate fine. When you go, because it's so painful, put each leg on the side of the toilet to "spread" it open and it should be easier and not hit your sores. Good luck

It does sound like herpes, I'm afraid. However, if you are 16 and your bf is of a similar age, it's probably HSV-1 from receiving oral sex, not HSV-2. HSV-1 is much better to have once you get over the first outbreak. Still better to get tested and know for sure what it is, however, as sometimes it could be something else entirely. The swab test for herpes needs to be done asap, while the lesions are still new and unhealed.

Hello I hve had herpes since 2010 my first outbreak I had 12 sores frm my lips sorry for the graphic words but to my anal area at first it wasn't opened till a day later you should really seek medical attention to get the right treatment and meds.. To help prevent the spread and to control the ob.. But to help with the pain Wat I do is tke a warm bath and right after I put Desitin You know for diaper rash but believe me when I tell you it HELPS SOOO MUCH... But it does get a bit messy depending where u place it.. But good tip wear a pantie liner with it and always make sure they stay dry after a shower and ESP after u pee ... Keep it clean keep it clean keep it clean and dry to ease the pain!
