I think I'm losing my mind

Guys seriously how come I keep seeing people comment about igm not being reliable but I myself tested positive with igm and I have the symptoms? This is very misleading what's the deal with that? It's been  almost 8 months post exposure and my igg is still negative but I have tingling and burning around my lip, inside my vagina and now my eye hurts. What is this igg / igm thing about ? How can this be possible ?

I feel you. Well igg results when it's positive means you have built antibodies and the igm means it was a recent exposure but even on the CDC website it says it's not reliable. I got diagnose a month ago and I did have the symptoms but only my igm was positive. I don't know what to think because I had shingles before so i wonder if that can be the cause why it is positive . I refuse to think I'm positive and will be retested in a few months again . It's so confusing I wish their was more info. Have you had more ob since the first one

I've not had an outbreak .. just some burning with period, a red spot come and go and tingling ( I don't know if that is an outbreak) .. I try to think that I am negative too but then why am I feeling all this ? It can't be my mind ... I can't be this crazy .. the doctors are 1000% sure I have it I even went to a specialist and he tested me again but by this time my igm was going down almost in the equivocal range and he said my igg will rise ..  idk I'm tired

Mmm maybe wait a few months a see if you definitely have it. I started taking vitamins too just in case when I retest if my igg says I do have it then I'm already trying to boost my immune system I'm taking 1000 of vitamin c and also 1000 if lysine they say that helps
