Just read your post and I have to say that sometimes meds are not always the answer, they can if you get the right one, and you should be working with your GP to find one that helps, but if you cant find one, then other things can be tried.
Its easy for me to sit here and say try this, try that, but if you can say what you have tried, other than meds, then this may be easier and then I might be able to offer some advice.
Hope I can be of some help to you Michele

To recover from depression takes time and help from many different places. If you get the right meds, they will help for sure and you may have to see a specialist and work together so you get one that really helps. Next you need to have specialist help and I know you said therapy didnt help, but if you can see a counsellor that you like and can form a rapore with that will make a huge difference, one that you can trust. They will go back in your life to try and work out the root cause of you depression. But dpression that you are feeling will require some form of medicine help as well as physical help. I am certainly able to support you as best I can on this site as I have also been through depression. Together we can try and work out the best help for you.
How does that sound? But lets try and make a bold statement and say that you WILL function and have a great life!
Get back to me and we move forward

Ok firstly I want to try and help you if I can to find a way to beat this.
What was the last thing your GP said to you regarding medical treatment, because clearly you need to have a medical plan to deal with this.
Lets work together and try to forget about ending it all, so you get back to some sort of a life. What do you think?
There MUST be a way to turn your life around.
Always here for support Michele
