No I wasn't adopted I'm the youngest of 5 children but I don't have any memories, I only know what I've been told, maybe that's why I'm me? There has to be some reason/explanation? Hasn't there? Xx

You are your own person and even if one parent is bad, it doesn't mean you are or will be. My dad beat my mother and I know now things could have been better if they divorced. I have other tramas in my younger age. I know my depression and PTSS are the results. Many single parent homes or divorced and remarried couples raise good children. Your father's actions in no way mean you will repeat his mistakes. Hating someone only hurts you by the stress and possible depression it can cause. Your father probably does not loose sleep or is stressed out. Hating is never good and if you can try not thinking of him. Tell your self I refuse to let him ruin my life. Perhaps you can talk this over wih your mom or a counselor. I truly hope things get much better for you soon.
