Been on the citalopram for a week and my anxiety levels seem to be alot worse to the point were I am not wanting to leave the house and when I do I have panic attacks. I am going to persevere with the meds as from reading some of the comments here I'm not on my own with this.

NO Melanie you are not alone. It seems to initially increase the anxiety. Do you have any other side  effects?? Are you working? I am just over 7 weeks in and so most of the side effects have left but the anxiety can be  the last to go!!!! But keep on in there and you will see results.

Hi there I have been on them just over 7 weeks now and definitely better than I was. I have to make myself go out sometimes cos I just wanted to stay at home but pushed myself to go out at least every other day. Always makes me feel better to exercise, walk, bike, swim. I use meditation every morning to start the day

Yes at first I lost my appetite completely I have lost 6 kgs about 14lbs, so I look great!! But feel crappy!! And I was so tired at first now it just comes in a wave. I wish I hadn’t given up my job as may have helped about now!!! But it was extremely stressful to the max!! But I definitely feel better overall so keep up the good work and keep posting. It so helps to know there are others on here going through similar and who want to help!! Blessings x.
