If you have high blood pressure then it can affect your kidneys therefore reduce the production of urine. In a hospital setting a patient with your symptoms would be given a diuretic, probably intravenously and it would not only reduce your blood pressure but make you produce and pass urine. Reading your post I don't think you are in the UK because you wouldn't usually be allowed home until all or most of your problems were sorted out. Catheterising yourself over and over again can add another problem.....infection. I hope this is sorted out for you very soon. I can only imagine how upsetting it must be.

I just want to say hi and I'm thinking of you, that must be a total nightmare.

I haven't had any similar problem as things went well after my surgery but I can imagine how awful that must feel and as for catheterising yourself I just can't imagine the pain. I'm amazed they haven't sorted it out for you better or understood what is going wrong.  I do hope it all improves soon .

My heart goes out to you.

After I had a baby and a catheter was removed I couldn't go, my sister, who is a nurse, took me to the loo and turned all the taps on, it worked for me so worth a try!

Oh dear, you poor girl. Cyber hugs. You don't say which country you live or more about type of process of your repair. Also did a Urogynaecologist operate? Can't imagine being sent home same day. You don't want to be pushing to wee. Just relax, and let go down there. Taps running helps. Warm water poured over lady bits slowly maybe, on loo. Even try and go in the shower just to help everything remember how to urinate. Horrible nightmare for you and everything is crossed for recovery for you. I had anterior repair using TOT sling 6mths ago. Only had single episode of not being able to pee the day the catheter was removed. That evening I had to have another put back in, & it was left overnight. Taken out 7am next day and then set about going loo and struck gold. So was in 2 nights. I did get a bladder infection around 1wk mark, but didn't do anything about it for a month as had never had a UTI infection in past, and I didn't have the symptoms you are supposed to either. Lab sample finally done and it grew ecoli. Came right with antibiotics. I'm 57. Extent of your surgery compared to others might also be hard to totally compare as it depends on how bad your prolapse was and exactly what had to be repaired. I only had Grade 1 prolapse but stress incontinence bad enough to want it gone, and it has gone. I can sneeze with much pleasure now!
