My test came back positive IGG is 13.60. Do anyone know what that number means?

That is a high positive, so not a new infection (i.e., any time over 3 months). Do you know the HSV type? The number relates to antibody levels.

That's crazy she asked this question because I had my test done again last week, got my results back being positive at 2.57. So with based off of your response to Ashley, does that mean my infection is recent ????

Did you also test positive for Type 1? Have you had any genital outbreaks? Just curious. A high positive is conclusive and indicative of an established infection (longer than 3 months). A low positive can be false if in the presence of preexisting Type 1, but can also mean a new, developing infection. Bottom line: Established infections usually have higher index values.

No, I tested negative for Type 1 and no outbreaks either.
