Im so despresded cause of diagnosed with genital herpes....

Im 24,and im student in austria and so far from my country.I was diagnosed with genital herpes  2 days ago,now i have my first breakout ,and a lotfs of pain.I'm single and caught it from a guy I had a one night stand with ( stupid I know ) I'm really struggling to come to terms with having this! I feel embarrassed to talk to anyone about it so coming on here was an option.I couldnt sleep for 2 nights.Maybe talking to ppl who also have this virus might help me deal with this!! At this moment I feel like my life is on hold and no one will want to have a relationship with me since I have it!!! Help!?!?!

    Do you know what type you have? And how were you diagnosed? With a blood test?

    That’s how I feel. Now st 26 I have been living with GH for about 4 years now.  The god who gave it to me is my child’s father and has been in denial about it every since. I’m single and for those I’ve told, while perusing a relationship, they seemed hesitant to move forward. I don’t plan to be with anyone anytime soon because this has ruined my life. I hate it!!!

      luckily you have child, me im 33 still single no child, currently in a relationship still, still my partner still in process of getting the test. but I keep my self busy and focus on something which make me happy in my life.

    Hi Gol. rst, stay focus if you love yourself keep away negative, especially stress which can trigger your outbreaks. accept the fact which is the reality of your destiny. Love yourself 😍
