Ask for a referral to a cardiologist and get a full work up. The referal should be easily accessible, leave out the anxiety part but explain your family history. Doctors respond better to facts and stats then emotions. You have the right to be concerned, not panicked, but concerned so a full work up by a specialist not a regular doc should make you feel much better. Obviously eat balanced and exercise daily as well. After all the tests are completed you will know if any anxiety is even warranted. At that point if you find you still worry then see your doc about anxiety issues or after results are in you can discuss it with the cardiologist.  But i would do the full work up a cardiologist first. This was no profiling or labeling and you get a proper full exam.

Due to your age you will be told your heart is fine, so carefully explain your family history of issues and say maybe they should have checked themselves out younger and would have known how to corrected any issues early on.. Good luck some doctors will allow it and some will send you home. If you mention anxiety you basically just shot yourself in the foot because at 23 they will label and profile you as having an anxiety disorder. Whether you do or dont right now you want a full exam with a cardiologist, then deal with anxiety part.

You had alot of tramatic events loseing people you were so close to. I am an only child,my parents married in their mid thirties, unfortunately by the time i was 12 i had lost most of my relatives on my moms side. Mom lived to be 87 though. Unfortunately she got alzheimers so that was devistateing. I truely think you are suffereing from health anxiety. Just because a relative died of a specific disease does not mean you have it or will get it. Unless you have specific symptoms id go the route of seeking counseling and possibly meds to help you cope. Google is wonderful and does help to know what a person should ask a doctor etc but everything always points to an awful disease so it also can make you think you have sonething you DONT have. Try and relax. Anxiety is so hard to deal with at times. Xx
