Injection for spinal Stenosis

i have seen consultant about my diagnosis and he is advising an injection into my spine

is this going to help as i am very scared ?

    Hi Doodle,

    I had the injection, on both HR surgeries. After the 1st one, I welcomed the injection on the 2nd one. Don't be afraid to let your Dr know about your concerns. It is the standard procedure my Dr uses. They are very aware of the initial hesitation by the patients and they follow up with checks on your leg movement when it's over.     A hundred times better than a general anaesthetic. I would definitely say yes.

    the injection is cortisone i think to try and relieve the inflammation in my spinal canal due to osteoarthritis

    i wondered if anyone had had this and if it had been successful

      my wife had injection, went ok, but zero effect sadly now thinking about spine OP.

      i was told it could be very beneficial or it might not help so i am going to have it and pray it works .

      i know it will e surgery otherwise .

      is your wife managing ok ?

      good luck.

      well she is seeing a specialist post MRI as well see.

      surgery sounds scarier for sure.
