Hello, English is not my mother tongue so please pardon me if I make mistakes. I 've been suffering from a form of insomnia since this summer it all started really just with the fear of not sleeping, I've taken benzo sI use to sleep most of the nights. I could sleep for a month and then suddenly a night of bad insomnia occurred. Either I sleep immediately and sleep 8 hours or I have bad insomnia sleeping 3 hours or less sometimes it's hard to know how much I slept or if I slept at all because I don't remember if I was asleep or not . It's not the insomnia with the thoughts about tomorrow etc... I just can't fall asleep as if I were too awake .my doctor put me on seroquel Upped my dose to 75 mg I slept well for three days ( 8 hours ) and yesterday I couldn't fall asleep . I don't know what to do maybe seroquel is not the right med for me? It has helped the last month but I don't feel sleepy much when I take it I tried meditations on YouTube and yoga also exercise but maybe it's not enough. I don't understand why I sleep one night regularly and the other night not. Last week I had 3 bad nights though so it's worsening. Also when I sleep bad at night I cannot nap during the day and I'm a bit scared about that.

Hi Tyler ! The only thing I've noticed is I see artificial light very low and dimmed as when you have fever but not always.

Update . things got worse. Now I just can't fall asleep, The doctor says up the seroquel I took 125 last night and could' fall asleep took another 25 two hours later and fell asleep but it seems i forgot how to fall asleep. I did muscle relaxation all kind of relaxing techniques but when my head hits the pillow I 'm anxious even if I take benzos . Could be that there something that keeps me awake? Or it's my anxiety? I had anxiety before but I managed to fall asleep . I tried counting backwards but nothing. I'm scared because if I don't fall asleep immediately I don't sleep at all all night. Any suggestions ? Do I need an hypnotist? Could be some sort of rebound? A month ago I use to sleep for two weeks in a row.
