My advice to you is deal with it now, I'm no expert but it seems just a victim of a faulty lens. I got my intraocular lens implanted 6 years ago and over the last few months I have very milky/cloudy/foggy vision. Apparently, they do not risk changing them after some time, of course I'm hoping like anything they will change mine. So my advice to you is don't let it drag on, get it explanted sooner rather than later.

Sue, they did pco already and didn't work.
The opthalmologist said that it's the lens.
I got it done through Optical Express and I'm waiting for them to refer me to their clinical services team.

Sorry Sue, meant to say in my earlier post that they carried out yag already and then realised it was not pco. I'm very worried and really hope and pray that the other one doesn't opacify.

opaque vision? you can't see out of it? Shimmering went away for me, ultimately. Do you find it getting less and less?

Iridodonesis, maybe? I'm 5-weeks post op and pretty sure that this is what I have. There are some good Youtube videos as well. There are a few also where the IOL jiggles but not the rest of the iris. Mine has definitely gotten better (no longer get nauseous) although still somewhat noticeable if I'm reading something relatively close and my eye is moving a lot. Hopefully this will eventually go away completely.
