Irregular periods and naseau

Hello all,

I hope someone can help me. Im feeling a bit scared. I have had irregular periods on and off for the past two years. This past month I have been having naseau spells where it feels like I am going to vomit but then nothing happens. I also get cramps, but then nothing happens. Could this be releated to menopause? I am only 43 but have no other symptoms (well besides horrible reflux)

Hi Dane, yes, unfortunately this is related to being in perimenopause. Ginger tea or peppermint tea helps with the nausea and Chamomile for cramps. It's caused by the fluctuations of estrogen in the body, Have you seen your gynecologist or gp yet?

I am not sure. There has been a virus going on recently that causes severe stomach and intestinal discomfort. I have been having nausea for the past week or more. Also, if you live down South the pollen season has already started and I remember last year and a year before I had very similar symptoms in the end of January and beginig of February.

Hi Dane, yes, I had frequent nausea for a while - less so now - so there is light at the end of the tunnel!  Ginger worked for me, also sparkling water and (bizarrely) lager.

Hi Dane. I went through a few months of the nausea off and on. Felt like I was pregnant again. So yes I think it was related to my hormones. It has passed and I now have a new batch of symptoms!

    Dear dane

Yes I had the nausea(it did come with the flushes) but with all the stomach issuea with peri it will cause nausea. I hated that part as I was worried I was really ill because I felt unfortunately I did get gastitis in peri and nausea and loss of appetite and weight came with it too xx
