    Hello Bethia,

You WILL get through this. I understand you have been suffering for a long time. I got off fairly lightly as I got Diverticulitis just over 3 weeks ago today and am still constipated but don't have the horrible pain like I had.

Are you drinking plenty of water? Are you taking Acidophillus probiotics?? Aloe vera capsules?

I read that ginger tea and especially peppermint tea or capsules do WONDERS for nausea and bowel issues.

    Maybe try some tea?

We're all in this together, it will get better, sometimes it just takes quite a long time for our poor old bowels to heal.

Huge hugs you are not alone xx

    Hi Bethia59893,

Sorry to hear you are feeling unwell. I can't say if it will end but mine comes and goes, at the moment it's here and has been for quite a while. I take Fybogel as well and tablets to stop acid, as well as my other medication.

When I have pain I take soluble Paracetamol to help with the side and back ache which wakes me up during the night. If you have pain have you tried heat to see if that helps ?

I have a TENS machine which I use when it's bad and I find that helps me. If anyone else has tried TENS does it work for you ?.

Bethia, I have suffered from Diverticulitis attacks since 2014.  It seems to me that it affects sufferers in many different degrees and there is no one answer to this horrible disease.  Even the doctors have no sure answers only advice, and we are all different.  My last attack came on suddenly with excruciating pain and nausea, I was bed-ridden for a week.  Fortunately, it passes but I await the next attack with trepidation.  I am going on holiday in a couple of weeks but am terrified that it will come out of the blue, stop me going on holiday or occuring during the holiday.  I always take anti-biotics with me but this last attack floored me.

That's a intreasting read, it say to have permission from doctor first, don't think that's a problem I've looked it up on Amazon to and see Lloyd's chemist do one, think I might pay them a visit on Monday redshift.

      Thank you
