Since april 1st my gut has been acting in a way I've never experienced before. My symptoms have developed and evolved since that day so I am unsure what I am experiencing. (I should mention that I was on antibiotics from March 9-20)
For my first couple of weeks I would get a weird twitching/pulsating feeling in my upper abdomen. Sort of like a fish flopping around.
Then I became constipated for about 3 weeks. During that time, I began feeling what felt like earthquakes/tremors in my chest, lower abdomen, and even legs/thigh areas.
The constipation has gone away but the fluttering/spasming/twitching/pulsating (whatever it was) hasn't gone away, and is near constant.
I had a CBC blood work and went to urgent care twice to make sure it wasn't my heart. The EKG showed everything was fine and my CBC showed nothing out of normal range.
My primary care thinks its "trapped gas" and possibly anxiety and wants to put me on an anti-anxiety pill - I am not interested in doing this at all.
I'm 32, overweight, but I eat relatively healthy. Still, last week was the worst of all my symptoms - constant leg shaking, chest/heart pulsating, abdominal tremors. I felt like I was dying when I was trying to fall asleep! My heart was beating out of my chest.
I don't drink alcohol, don't eat fast food, don't drink pop, and eat relatively healthy for being overweight. Does anyone have a clue what this is? Could it be candida overgrowth or something? I have taken a food journal of the last month and nothing seems to give a direct 'triggering'
