Is this Herpes?

Posted , 4 users are following.

I had protected sex with a girl and I think she may have had herpes and I'm starting to get a bit concerned. This looks different than most pictures of herpes, but i'm no expert. What do you think this is? This happened about 3 days ago and I'm just a bit anxious about things. The tip of my penis feels a bit tingly, but I honestly think it may just be my nerves. Any advice is welcome.

Looks a bit like herpes, if it was protected you're probably fine. If you start showing symptoms, go to the doctor...

My biggest concern was that even though I did use a condom, I still went down on her before I saw the sores. This really has me freaking out!

I'm confused. Your username is Mary, you talk about your penis, and this photo is of the girl's privates? Does she know you're posting that on here??

Anyway, if you have had cold sores previously and should these vaginal bumps be due to HSV-1, then you're fine, as you already have it orally.

If due to HSV-2, you have only partial protection, and if you've never had cold sores, then you have no protection. *However*, HSV-2 nearly always prefers the genitals, not the mouth. Exceptions nevertheless exist, plus she does have active bumps.

The bumps could also be due to shaving/waxing and/or underwear chafing, in which case you can disregard all of the above!

Best thing is to ask her directly and observe your penis/genital area. Most primary outbreaks occur within a week of exposure, up to usually not more than 20 days.
