Is this just flu? Anxiety through the roof...

Hi everyone,

For the past week I've been feeling unwell. It started off like a cold: dry cough, sneezing, sore throat, blocked nose. However I woke up this morning to find its so much worse.

First off I got no sleep last night due to spending the whole time awake coughing uncontrollably. Then today my cough has got worse, it hurts my head and ribcage every time I cough. My head feels boiling hot, my face is bright red but from my shoulders down I am freezing cold. The thing that's bothering me the most is how hot my head is. It feels like it's going to explode, but I can't do anything to cool it down because that causes me to shiver nonstop. We don't have a thermometer so I can't take my temp either.

I feel like I haven't got the energy to move and honestly it's making my anxiety really hard to deal with. I'm now convinced that I'm going to die in my sleep due to flu complications, and to top it off I'm going to be home alone all of tomorrow - alone with my thoughts.

Someone please help :'(

If you catch it within the first 48hrs your gp can give you tamiflu and it helps it heal very fast. Call your  gp.If its the flu. Feel better. The flu is awful.

I should also add I'm asthmatic, although it's controlled with my inhalers.

Hello! That is going around here for sure. I was in a total anxious state with it. I went to the doc and indeed had a temp and a sinus infection. On meds starting today. Be well, drink lots of water, slleeeeeeeep a lot, and take OTC meds to help you feel better.
