I have a close friend (we've known each other almost 50 years!) She suffered Post Natal Depression after her second child was born. She saw a Psychiatrist about it and (in her words) helped her 'come to terms' with her traumatic childhood'. WHAT traumatic childhood? She didn't have one. A happy, safe, loving home. Two wonderful parents. We were both tall (for our age) and shy and as such were picked on as being 'different' from the other children (kids are wonderful little darlings at times!) That's the only 'trauma' we both faced. It left me with a profound dislike of playgrounds, but that was it.
Her second child is a strapping 21 year old now, and she is STILL under the 'care' of councillors and shrinks. I despair!
Ladywear you are NOT going mad. BTW have you had a dental Xray? Your mouth, teeth and sinuses can carry some really yucky poisons. My OH has suffered from a very long-lasting infection that gave him 'toothache' in teeth he does not have! (He has dentures) It got into the bones in his jaw and took some shifting.
That's just reminded me of something. Some years back - we'd just moved to NI and were living in a flat - he kept complaining about the 'music' coming from the neighbours and their loud conversations at night. I couldn't hear anything (and my hearing is excellent - about the only thing that is). To cut a very long story short, our GP was convinced he needed psychiatric help for the 'voices' he was hearing (even though they were in Spanish and he could also hear music) Turns out he had an ear infection and the metal fillings in his few remaining teeth were acting as a sort of radio receiver. He WAS picking up Spanish radio
If he had been a woman they would probably have thrown a net over him and hauled him off to the funny farm!
Go easy on yourself and remember we are here for you.

OH says it appears to have worked where several courses of AB's have not!
It's also a damn good hair and skin softener and is great in stir frys.

I believe that aloe vera is also beneficial for gum disease. Also someone I know with diabetes had terrible gum problem swears by gargling warm salt water.
Im now trying to wean off my AD at the moment cause unfortunately they caused weight gain for me.
Its so nice to have all you lovely ladies to bounce ideas off.
You are all so wonderful.
Have a blessed day xx

We are bombarded with radio waves all the time, but a combination of blocked ears and sinuses must have meant the brain was unable to filter them out. The fact that it was Spanish radio must mean they are on the same wavelength as OH's brain.

I also m very wary of psychiatrists.
Once you get there it's like Eagle's Hotel California:
Mirrors on the ceiling,
The pink champagne on ice
And she said "We are all just prisoners here, of our own device"
And in the master's chambers,
They gathered for the feast
They stab it with their steely knives,
But they just can't kill the beast
Last thing I remember, I was
Running for the door
I had to find the passage back
To the place I was before
"Relax, " said the night man,
"We are programmed to receive.
You can check-out any time you like,
But you can never leave! "
So, done with the poetry now, let us think a little bit outside the box:
- Are you on ANY meds at the moment?
- Do eat wheat?
- Do live, work, have contact with mouldy stuff or environment?
They all could cause near hallucinatory thoughts.
The difference between a psychotic person and one that isn't is that the latter know it's just a dream, a thought.

Check for yourself ...
"Opioid Peptides: Most people with food intolerances have digestive issues with wheat and diary products. The common factor between these foods seems to be the opiate-like substances produced when the proteins from these foods are broken down during digestion. These opiate substances act on the body's internal opioid receptors, and can alter the perception of pain and affect respiration, digestion and mood. These opiate substances are found in the following proteins:
Casomorphin (milk)
Gluten exorphin (wheat gluten)
Gliadorphin/gluteomorphin (wheat gluten)
Rubiscolin (spinach)"
