hello, I am 17 years old and I don't know what to do. 3 weeks ago, after I had intercourse I was developing a burning sensation in my vagina. I had a year infection before so I assumed it was that. I did everything the same to cure this but I didn't work. So I went to the doctors and they gave me this one time medication, it went away for 3 days but it came back again. I am thinking its a bacterial vaginosis now and I'm scared. The burning sensation comes and goes. I was looking online and it says if I wait too long To cure this I can develop a sexual transmitted dieases sad please help! I am really hoping I'm not too late to cure this and not develop a sexual transmitted diease

I just researched and it said if you don't treat it soon enough, you can possibly get an STD. I'm not sure how long it would take to get that but I'm worried cause it would be a month and I only took one medication which was 2 weeks ago for yeast infection

i know its alot but please read its helpful

hello i am also seventeen now... but before that i had bv allll the way from 8th grade to 10th grade summer .... i dont know but it just went away i took medications i took vitimans i drunk apple cider vinigar but all that was temporary .. but still i just wanna say that eventually my bv WENT AWAY .. it took some years.. but it did .. although when you get tested it says that youre negative .. the bv is still there and my mom just reufused to believe me everytime i told her ....so eventually i had to hande it on my own so i started using different soaps..eating differently i still took olive leaf axtract and istill dunk vinigar.... not often tho that stuff is nasty .. but i say all that to say this you should eat more yougart take showers more often... but i know even that wont help the smell... soo i used vinigar when i took baths or i used thelittle vigina things you squeeze up there it helped temorarily ... i believe it has to go away on its own .. but thats not a fact its just my opinion.... im sorry i wouldnt with THAT on anybody .. my friend said she got it but she didnt have an odor or anything like that .. i didnt believe her because i  had it for about four years.... i know what bv is like.. so hang in there all will be well....ps. dont let the bv tell you how th live your life .. you tell it ..NOONE ever smelt an odor on me of anysorts... carry pantyliners... extra panties... wipes things like that..

but if you do have sex ...i reccomend the vinigar .. because it works for about a day or two before the odor comes back ... nothing unprotected that only makes it worse ... but once you get that feeling to finally sit with your legs wide open to finally have your vigina back ... it feels sooo good im actually tearing up right now.. i literally sit at home with my legs wide open because i can now ... and i really hope you can SOON not as long as it took me ...dont get all depressed .. its hard not to but yes i was sad for a long time but i kept myself busy to not think to much .. okay i talk to much .. bye i hope this helps...
