Hi all

Ok so quick update wk 14ish. Ive had mri feedback, not perfect but nothing too scary full results this week. Theres been a slight lift in my mood but still getting tearful days, feel on the edge of tears most days but try to distract myself from it. In essence im just not "there" yet.

So ive taken the plunge and started 40mg every other day with a view to every day in a week or two. Too soon to see any reaction/result but im hoping this gets me over that final "bump"/hill!

Wish me luck! Hope everyone having a good day? And thanks for all your kind words n support so far.

Vix xx

    Hi Vix.

I'm sure you've taken the right decision in upping the dose.  I did  the 20/40 alternating dose for about 6 weeks and felt an improvement, but it wasn't until I went up to 40mg that I felt pretty much back to normal.  Spoke to my Dr in the week who said that he will keep me on this dose for a while with a view to tapering back once I feel settled.  I hope your plan works for you, as it did for me.

    Regards, Chris.

      Hi rach

Thanks, id left it plenty of time without progress so think it was the right thing to do.

Headaches all the time sounds pants you poor thing n lack of sleep wont help that at all :-( hope they ease soon .

when's your hubby back to work? I found it a difficult time without depression, think I just invited the world to my house when my husbands leave ended. The house was a constant sh$t tip but at least I wasnt on my own. Are you up to inviting people round? It may help keep your mind busy.

Ill let you know how the alternate days go, no diff so far but too soon to tell. Moods been better last couple days but had night out with friends n lunch for hubby's bday with family so likely coincidental.

So here we go :-) sending hugs

      Hi rach

Ive just replied to another post saying ive done lots of school runs with my nightie under jeans and a jumper n gone back to bed straight after when I was feeling my roughest - haha :-) I only had one to get ready apart from me tho n I still failed! Oh dear! I dont know how anyone gets 3kids out on time anyway (and theres a family at our school with ten kids who are always on time -omg im in awe!).

But school runs in pjs for new mums is perfectly acceptable in my book :-) or are there any other mums nearby who could take your boys?good luck either way.its amazing what we manage to do fo our kids sometimes.

Hope your light headednesd is getting better? Im doing ok I think, mood seems bit brighter but im not counting my chickens just yet. Got what im hoping is last hospital apt tomorrow first thing so il be glad when thats all finished.

Onwards n upwards hey? Take care
