Iv had to go back onto Mirtazapine, anyone found 5htp stop the weight gain? Or venlafaxine ?

Ive had to go back onto mirtazapine asap the docs will look at adding in Venlafaxine but not for a month! Anyone found venlafaxine helped curb the weight gain? Or 5htp to curb it? Ive read some people ahev found both can help counteract the weigth gain from mirtazapine

    hi,never heard of that.Mirt has made me add 3stone + waist gone from 32 to 38.I have had to buy new clothes.I look awful,but am tapering from 15mg.Just cut to 7.8mg.

      Ive stopped the mirtazapine already! Gone back on duloxetine which is simliar to venlafaxine and in 2 weeks the doc will add mirtazapine we are hoping the will counteract the side effects of each other
