Jaw jerking

Posted , 6 users are following.

I have had fibro for a few years now but recently I have experienced jaw jerking during the night to the point of thinking my teeth have been damaged because of it. I also sometimes get a very annoying twitch on my eye lid which can last on and off for days. Does anyone else have these problems?

i clench and wake with jaw and  headaches i also get twitches in my jaw and face . well every where really . i use magneisum oil on the area thats twitching as well as using it everywhere  eles to relive pain .i am not sure a bout the eye lid it is sea salt so would sting like hell . but i do use it close to my eye on the cheak iv had no trouble and it always stops in a day or so and stays away if i keep doinf it.

you could try rub some of the oil above the eye lid just under the eyebrow the muscle  group is proerly the same as th eye lid.

I started to have problems with my jaw in my sleep and it would wake me up. I would be gnashing my jaws together and would also bite y tongue. This was four years ago and I was prescribed amytritylene 10mg. It mainly sorted it out. I was only diagnosed with fybro in March of this year.

Yes I get this, wear a gum shield every night and seems to have stopped it, dentist said I was wearing my teeth away and my jaw was starting to misalign. Good old fibro, chucks something new at you every now and again! No eyelid twitch for me though.....yet!

Have you tried a supplement to help with muscle spasms? I get jumping/spasming muscles too, they used to lock up sometimes.. Even chamomile tea & melatonin at night may help. Valerian root. Minerals and B12. Things like that.
