I was told to take calcium with Vitamin D3, that seemed to help, But I also took glucosamine with MSM, and that helped as well.

I've been taking calcium and vitamin D as I have a vitamin D

deficiency. I'm hoping that the glucosamine with msm helps. I can't take the joint pain anymore. I heard it takes a while to get into your system before it really works.

It truly depends on your body absorbs it, on me it worked almost right away. But then my body is sensitive and reacts rather fast.  Also, buying quality products help not just any old brand at least that's what I've noticed.

Stick with it. It will eventually work. You should have your vitamin D level tested. Perhaps you may need a vitamin D prescription. 50,000 UC is what I was prescribed and I'm fine.  Were your vitamin D levels ever tested? If not, it may be a good idea to to so.

Also jeanne, if you still have joint pain you may need the magnsiu,. ou can always use epsom salt baths or just soak your feet in epsom salt or do what I do, i take a cup of it pour it in a mixing bowl add hot water, mix it well and splash over my body, wait about 30 seconds to let it absorb and you will feel the difference almost immediately.

I use a magnesium transdermal cream that I apply to the bottoms of my feet every night. It seems to help.

Thanks, my vitamin d levels are checked every 6 months and they are in range. I take vitamin d everyday because I was low years ago. Thanks.

Vitamin D and calcium w/magnesia helped me tremendously. A year ago I had bad muscle & bone aches. I was prescribed 50,000UC from my doctor due to my very low Vitamin D level. It was a 6 on a scale 1-50 and it should've been in the 36-38 range. I had to take 1 pill every Sunday for (6) months. Prior to taking it my muscles were sore and my bones popped especially in the morning while getting out of bed. After taking it for 4 months my bones/joints felt so much better, and my levels came up to 35-36 range.

Now my doctor instructed me to take it every other Sunday for the remainder of the year. My bones no longer crack/pop while walking or getting out of bed. I would sometimes experience Charlie horses- OUCH! I just recently started taking calcium w/magnesia and it's helping as well. I no longer get Charlie horses- Yay!! So try store brand calcium & vitamin D. It just might work for. Hope that helps!
