Dear Valarie, I am 55 and ten years in peri (still not meno)... but I tell you that when I was 30 something, I started experiencing hot flushes and other peri symptoms (weird outspaced feeling, depression, sweating, palpitation, weight gain). I was scared a lot and visited GP, many tests were done (heart, thyroid, liver) and nothing was found. I had nowhere to ask, no book to read then... later I read an article about menopause in a women's lifestyle journal, and it described the hot flushes exactly as I had. However, my period was normal.... hot flashes were extremely horrible, and came since morning until noon every half an hour (sweating, feeling hot, nausea, palpitation). I ran my own business then and everybody told me that I was "only" nervous. However I can deal with stress and I enjoy it to some level, and I could make distinction between stress reaction and that. It lasted probably three years, and then it simply disappeared. I wonder now if it might be something hormonal...

I don't think you are having peri. You are far too young. May be pregnant 😉

I'm 43 and last year the end of Summer started on me if it makes sense. 😕but Doctors say that I am too young only when I ve said that my mum was menopaused at 45 they stopped looking at me like at mad person. 😨

Think what else can drive you mad.

    Blessings

Definetly not pregnant. My mother started peri in her 30's and into meno in her 40's. I also had my first child as a teen so I feel as if my body is ahead of its time.

Interesting. Just shows you how different we are and Doctors don't know a lot about it or just shake hands off.

      Blessings ?

I am still in perimenapause, and I am 45. I believe that I started when I was about 38. My mom thinks she was done at about 46, and I started my period very early at 9.

      Hi Doe,

I started peri when I was 38 and started my cycle when I was 9 as well. I thought I was the only early bird with these hormones.

I'm 39. I will be 40 in July and I am no where near finishing. I have my cycle faithfully every month. I have never missed, skipped or anything my entire life unless I'm pregnant.
