just come back from GP after examination..she says its 99.99% GH...have been started on Aciclover for 5-7 days..I am currently new in a relationship of  1month and we had unprotected sex last week...2 days ago started to get itchy and red like symptoms of thrush...but then blisters appeared...I have never had an STD and am feeling quite ashamed and numb...I am 48 2 children and am quite devastated...I have texted the BF to say we really need to talk later as just back from GP...the DR is most certain it's from himsad((

    I contracted herpes when I was 24. I am 57 now.

    I felt confused ashamed and disappointed. But I have to live with it.

    Have sufficient rest and watch your diet. Life will continue.

      Most people have this virus. Its so common. I was initially devestated don't be hard on yourself. Children are born with this. But look after your

      Thank you Alphamale..cannot believe my doc wanted to prescribe only 5days Antivirol...I was ridden and so painful...I have had the most awful pains in my legs..so bad a ulcer came up by my ankle with a wart in it...I am lucky as in friend who has the same and gave me some of her mess...my GUM don't..!!!!..there is no way my first OB would of cleared on 7 days...have been taking 14..period just started and it flamed up around anus...without mess it would of been terrible....also salt baths and applying pure coconut oil helpssmile

    It definitely sounds like it's from your new bf, I'm afraid. The timing of your outbreak from the date of exposure is spot on.
