Just Give Up

Hello
I have gained weight and no matter what I have tried its just not for budging. I was wondering if there are any ladies that have gone through menopause where the weight just came off again later on. My mum said she put weight on then it just came off later of its own accord without any dieting, anyone else?? Or am I stuck with my buddha belly forever?

That is good to hear from another source thank you so much. I have never had a weight problem before so its like another smack in the face. It has stablised now but I not even bothered if I am not as smal las before it will be easier to buy clothes as would just like to loose about 1 stone.

Don't give up yet-- keep trying to find what will work for you. Some have success at this time and some don't. My mom lost a lot of weight at about 70 by walking everyday and eating healthy--- water, tea, nuts, salads, veggies, meats, etc....A few years ago I noticed that that she started taking off the top bun if we were out eating. I'm trying to change my diet as well eating more plant-based meals and protein smoothies.

I am same and only in peri. I am huge and hardly eating. I have always been Paleo and gluten and sugar free so no-grain diets do not make a difference when you already eat that way. If you ate garbage before, it might help. I'm trying intermittent fasting and strict keto now so no fruit. Not sure will help ...

our moms generation perhaps ate healthier and were more physically active. todays lifestyle is so technology driven that v need to put extra effort in staying healthy n grow old gracefully.

You are probably right about that, plus I think our portion sizes are bigger now too.
