Hi I had a decompression opp 4 mths ago. I have slight frozen shoulder am bk in hospital tomorrow for manipulation under anaesthetic not looking forward to it but it's got to be done.

What is your physio /doctor advising

I have frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis) following surgery for a bad shoulder fracture 4 months ago. I have a titanium plate and 12 screws in my arm. I have just restarted physio and I am making slow but measurable progress. Physio was cancelled earlier due to a displacement. I have found that time has helped with this condition though the surgeon is recommending an arthroscopy break up of adhesions for a speedier resolution. I am leery of another procedure and am inclined to stick with physical therapy as I am seeing progress. I almost had a shoulder replacement, but he decided to rebuild my shoulder after a severe break following a fall.My post-op course was pure hell painwise and I am finally out of that abyess, so for my frozen shoulder I am sticking with conservative treatment for now. Let me know what they recommend for you and good luck. BTW Swimming in a warm pool helps.

Hi I've seen good improvement with physio but can't get the range of movement to be able to live normally. I'm absolutely dreading it. This time I will hopefully get quality movement quicker. I'm only 47 and the last 4 mths have been miserable.

OK I'm new here, I'm 13 weeks PO i used a link i made of me pulling out bamboo on YouTube i need that only to show that my arm was very strong, had 3 times more motion then after surgery, also it showed my muscle tone for strength which i don't have now. I thought it would be useful i guess i made a mistake in doing a before and after, video if i had a good response i was going to do a after one but it was cut out So now all i can do is type and hope you believe me at 74 most people don't believe me, that my arm was as strong as it was, so i lost my proof.

I'm now mad at myself to let the guy touch my arm he made me 30 times worse than before. I never took pain pills every day, now I have to, and I can't drive when I do so my life is a dam hell, I have to wait until i get home from physical therapy to get my pain

I've not had surgery, but after physical therapy I've realized that movement is key, with or without pain. A week ago I was in agony after a simple day of chores. Now I'm still feeling some pain, but my range of motion and ability to do things have greatly improved. I hope things get better for you. I work in the medical field and in my experience surgeons only make money on surgery.

It actually looks pretty good. But taking that x-ray must've been painful.

YES, it still does, it's locked, my therapist told me to use a pillow with a tennis ball inside, hold it behind my shoulder against a hard wall, I did, talk about pain, then after I moved my arm and could hear weird noises inside, like popping and break sticks today I'm sore, not ready to try that again for awhile. Got to speak to him first the last think I want to make this go bad, if you Google bamboo Southbury,  2 of 17 videos you will see my arm before surgery, I was hoping to be better not worse and weaker, I tried to put a link here but I guess that's a no, no, sorry. My video was about how dumb I was planting bamboo where it goes to 20 degrees F below freezing, I think it has mutated nothing can kill it, found some I missed and all I could do was rip the green part off, can't pull now, and I'm not happy about that. I feel like a cripple now.
