but doctor never said anything

Using propranolol together with sertraline may increase the effects of propranolol. Contact your doctor if you experience uneven heartbeats, shortness of breath, bluish-colored fingernails, dizziness, weakness, fainting, or seizure (convulsions).
Personally I'd go back to the GP and see what he thinks.

I take my sertraline first thing in the morning with breakfast then my propranolol an hour before I go to bed at night taking a glass of water with them as well
