Bosco it really sounds like the cold weather cause mine does the same thing. When the barometric pressure goes up or whatever it does lol  your leg will ache. I wouldn’t worry if everything else is fine.

If it is fine after a few steps I personally would not worry. There are various odd aches and zingy feelings and all kinds of little odd things which keep on making appearances after a TKR but unless pain is very severe or enduring I think I personally would assume all is fine.

I found from around 4 months I needed to quite deliberately move my mental focus away from my knee and the various sensations experienced with it. Your leg is still healing and there will be odd things happening with it but thankfully that early period of recovery is past.

Keep on moving and exercise and be aware that though our minds are set TO KNEE completely at the beginning, now we have more freedom to move our mental focus away.

Of course, if this does worry you to the extent that you cannot put it aside, then go and see a professional and get an opinion...only you know yourself what is best for you to do. However, to me it sounds weather and stiffness related. The fact that it doesn't last suggests this to me, however, I am not a professional.

If concerned still, maybe wait a couple of weeks and see how you feel then?

It's great to hear things are better for you! It is a huge deal this TKR experience!

Cold and metal are not a good combination.  I had a hip replaced in New Jersey in 2009...then came the winter.  Left in June of 2010 for Fort Worth, TX.  Now with a metal hip, metal knee and more metal in my spine than I care to remember, it was the best move I ever made. At least you're the family's on-site weatherman.
