knee amputation

I have had 5 surgeries over the LAST 9 months for a detach patella on right knee. I got 2 infections from first 2 surgeries and the last one was MRSA. after 12 days a sponge came out of my knee and doctor dis or do anything saying it would fall out 1 days. 3 months later, got osteomyeltis and now surgeon at emory wants to amputate my leg above knee. can someone please advise me on this?     Oh my Ozman!! I'm so very sorry what you are going through. Just an FYI, this is a hip forum. These is a knee forum too. I say get a lawyer ASAP! That's terrible what you are enduring now! Praying for you and hope everything goes well for you. Is an amputation the only solution?? God's blessings to you. Hugs 🤗 Linda

      Hi Linda,

      the surgeon told me that because of the bone infection and the doctor that performed the last 4 surgeries removes most of the patella, I would never walk without pain and would never bend my leg more than 5 degrees. I'm just lost and can't find any help from attornees. I have 240 pictures of the packing left in my knee but nobody can tell what it is. where is the knee forum? is it on this same site? thank you very much.
