Knee pains in both knees

Im 22 years old. I got knocked off my pushbike when i was 16. I had an operation to remove some cartlidge in my left knee and the pain seemed to go away for 6 months? Ever since this my left knee hasnt been the sane. I had to stop playing all sports due to the pain. I am now 22 and have pains in both my knees. If i crouch down for more than 10 seconds my knees lock and hurt badly. I have been to the doctors, had an MRI scan but the doctor said there is nothing wrong. There obviously is something wrong otherwise i wouldnt have gone in the first place. Can anybody help? Like i said i am 22 and can't carry on with this pain? Any help will be much appreciated 😃

Did you just have this read by a go or an orthopedic specialist. I would suggest yo go to a specialist, get an updated scan and go from there. In the meantime, don't beat up on the knees anymore than necessary, they aren't going get better on their own

Hi Tom, go to another doctor! And another and another until you find someone to take you seriously. I have had amazing doctors since I was 11 years old with a dislocated knee during a basketball game. I had my knees reconstructed numerous times and in the past year I had them replaced at age 55. But along to way I played many more years of competitive basketball, volleyball, and fastball. I ran track, cross country skiied, cycled and hiked to the top of mountains. Now that I have new knees I plan to continue doing the sports I can until my last breath. I want you to be able to do that too. Do not give up your life because one doctor couldn't help you; get more opinions. Good luck!

You said you had an MRI.  Did you have an x-ray first.  It may sound silly, but I had an MRI, an arthrogram, 2 bone scans and no one could find my problem.  Then I went to a rheumatologist who did a simple x-ray and discovered a calcification on medial collateral ligament and finally was treated and am pain free.  Don't give up.  You are too young to have this pain !!
